Which Posts Are Open?
There are five kinds of posts. Most seats, 32 out of 39, are for Tourism Constable. If you have only an Intermediate certificate, this is your best chance.

Below is what each post asks for. Every post needs a Punjab domicile and a Second Division or 2.5 CGPA. The ad also says general age relaxation will follow Punjab government rules, so check if it applies to you.
Tourism Inspector
You need 16 years of education from a university recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). You also need 3 years of experience in the same field, gained after your degree. There is 1 seat on open merit.
Tourism Sub-Inspector
You need 16 years of education from an HEC-recognised university. Experience is welcome but the ad does not say how much. There are 4 seats: 3 on open merit and 1 for women.
Tourism Constable
You need Intermediate (HSSC) in Second Division from a recognised board. Experience helps but is not compulsory. There are 32 seats: 23 on open merit, 4 for women and 5 for minorities.
Accounts Officer
You need 16 years of education in Accounts, Finance or a related subject, plus 2 years of experience after your degree. There is 1 seat on open merit.
Cashier
You need a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounts, Finance or a related subject, plus 2 years of relevant experience. There is 1 seat on open merit.
One important point: only experience you gained after finishing the required degree is counted. A job you did while still studying will not be added.
Last Date and a Simple Nine-Day Plan
The last date to apply is 23 October 2026. Your medical certificate must also be issued on or before this date, so the hospital visit is part of the deadline too.
Here is a plan I suggest. It is not part of the official ad.
- 14 and 15 October: Check your age, domicile and marks. Make or update your profile on the portal.
- 16 to 18 October: Get your medical certificate if you are applying for Inspector, Sub-Inspector or Constable. Government hospitals can be busy, so go early.
- 19 to 21 October: Scan your documents and fill in the form.
- 22 October: Check every detail again, then submit.
- 23 October: Keep this as a safety day only. Websites often get slow on the last day.
Height, Chest and Eyesight: Physical Rules
These rules are only for Inspector, Sub-Inspector and Constable. They are strict, so measure yourself before you spend time on the form.

- Chest (men): 33 to 34.5 inches
- Eyesight: 6/6
How to Get the Medical Certificate
The certificate must show all your physical measurements. It must be signed and stamped by the Medical Superintendent of the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital of your area, or by the Medical Superintendent of Mian Munshi Hospital, Lahore. Whatever is written on the certificate, you must enter the same numbers in the online form.

A Small Tip Before You Go to the Hospital
Ask the staff to write every measurement clearly. After you get the paper, read it once at the counter. A wrong number or a missing stamp is much easier to fix there than after you reach home.
Salary: How Much Will You Earn?
The pay is a fixed monthly amount, called a lump sum package, with a 10% increase every year. The ad does not say whether the raise is on the starting pay or on the last year’s pay. If it is on the last year’s pay, a Constable would earn about this:

That is roughly Rs. 2.38 million over three years. For the Rs. 80,000 posts, the pay would be Rs. 88,000 in year two and Rs. 96,800 in year three. These figures are my own example, so the department’s final terms decide the real amount.
Also remember that the job is on contract and will not be made permanent. Think about your plan after the three years end.
Quota Seats: Who Gets What?
The quotas are inside the same advertisement:
- Sub-Inspector: 3 open merit and 1 for women
- Constable: 23 open merit, 4 for women and 5 for minorities
- Inspector, Accounts Officer and Cashier: 1 open merit seat each
Women should note that the height rule for them is 5 feet 2 inches. Minority candidates can use the 5 reserved Constable seats if they meet all other conditions.

Follow these steps:
- Open jobs.punjab.gov.pk. Log in, or create an account if you are new.
- Search for the Department of Tourist Services advertisement for the DTS.
- Choose the one post you qualify for.
- Fill in your details, education, experience and domicile exactly as written on your documents.
- If you are applying for Inspector, Sub-Inspector or Constable, type in the measurements from your medical certificate.
- Upload your documents, check every field, and submit.
- Save the confirmation and take a screenshot.
The ad gives 0344-6456115 for help with the online form. One job website mentioned an application fee of Rs. 500, but I could not find this in the official ad. Please check the fee on the portal before you pay anything.

Keep the originals and a full set of attested copies. Shortlisted people must bring them to the interview.
How Will They Select Candidates?
The department will check all forms and shortlist the people who meet the conditions. Only those people will be called for a proficiency test or an interview. The ad says good English and computer skills will get preference. No travel or daily allowance is paid for attending.
Easy Ways to Prepare
These are my suggestions, not part of the ad.
- Practise answering a visitor’s question in simple English, such as giving directions or explaining a place.
- Brush up on basic computer work like typing, email and Word.
- Learn about the main tourist places in your area so you can speak with confidence.
One job listing reports that hiring follows the Contract Appointment Policy 2004 and the Recruitment Policy 2022, and that the department can cancel the process at any stage. Government employees would need to apply through proper channel.
Is This a Police Job? Tourism Force, Tourism Police and TDCP
Many people search for Punjab Tourism Police jobs, but this ad uses the name DTS. It does not mention police powers. The posts are called Inspector, Sub-Inspector and Constable, and they sit under the Tourism, Archaeology and Museums Department. Read the full printed ad to understand the duties before you decide.
The Punjab tourism department also created a Punjab Tourism Squad earlier, to help visitors and to work with police and Rescue 1122. That is a separate unit and not this recruitment.
TDCP means Tourism Development Corporation Punjab. It is a different organisation with its own hiring. If you were looking for TDCP jobs, this ad is not from them.
